Furry friend tag! Happy birthday Molly.

Hi readers! So today is my dog Mollys birthday. So to celebrate I thought I would do the furry friend tag.

1.What is your pet’s name? Molly.

2. What kind of pet is it and what breed? She’s a dog and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

3. Where did you get him/her? We got her from the local rescue centre.

4. What are some quirky things about your pet’s personality? She gets excited whenever she sees anyone. She will lay down the greet them.

5. What does your relationship with your pet mean to you? A lot, where I don’t have siblings she’s kind of like a sibling. She didn’t have the best start in life, so the bond is there and strong.

6. What are the nicknames that you call your pet? Molly-moo and Licker (because she kisses all the time)

7. How long have you had your pet? 5 and a half years.

8. Does your pet know any tricks? Sit, speak, wait, paw, play dead and roll over. She knows what walk, dinner and treats means.

9. What is your pets favourite toy? Squeaky ball.

10. Has your pet destroyed anything? She used to chew pretty bad. She’s destroyed hairbrushes and magazines.

11. How would your pet react to an intruder in your house? Probably greet them and get excited (vicious I know)

12. What is your pet’s favourite treat? Anything.

13. Can your pet swim? I’m not sure I’ve never tested her.

14. Do you crate your pet? No.

15. What is one negative thing about your pet? She is sometimes very clingy.

16. Does your pet sleep in bed with you? No.

17. Who does your pet love most? Me, of course.

18. Does your pet have a 4 legged BFF? She has lots of friends in the area. My nan’s dog is the one she’s probably been with most.

19. Do you dress your pet up? No. Unless you would say a coat for when it’s raining or cold dressing up.

20. If you could get another pet, what would it be and why? I don’t think I would get another pet. I’m pretty happy with just Molly.

January 16th: Why I started blogging.

Hi readers,

As you may know from my previous posts, I’m a pretty sentimental person. So I thought I would remind myself why I started blogging.

I started blogging because I have been following bloggers for a long time. I always thought it looked fun and a means of escape. It looked like a positive thing to do for yourself.

It took a lot of confidence for me to start. But I’m so glad I’ve now done it. It’s something I can see myself doing for a long time,

January 14th: Book review- The kiss thief L.J Shen.

Hi readers,

Sorry haven’t been blogging that often just been so busy,

I’ve just finished a book, which is also available on kindle unlimited.

The genres of this book are romance novel, new adult fiction and contemporary romance.

This book is full of drama and left me wondering what was going to happen next. It features a nineteen-year-old girl Francesca, who is the daughter of a Mob boss. Then her world is turned upside down when she is forced to marry but is the Senator as bad as he seems.

I would recommend this book. I managed to read it pretty quickly. It seemed just the right length for me.

Thank you for reading.

9th January: Book review. The Skylark’s Secret.

Hi, readers,

So that’s the first book of 2021 read.

This book is included, in kindle unlimited.

The genre of this book is historical fiction.

The theme of this book is a daughter on a journey of discovery of her mother’s life during world war two. Also, a love story that faces adversity. There’s also a lot of cheerful sections, and lots of characters you can relate to. This book is a journey from start to finish.

It’s a great read, with some fantastic writing by Flora Valpy. I would recommend this book.

Thank you for reading.

Hi readers,

So here it is it’s 2021 and my first blog post. I’m excited about what this year entails.

Last year I didn’t set any goals, so I thought it would get the year to a good start. Here a few ideas that I would like to achieve during this year,

  • Blog– Practice and hopefully get better at blogging.
  • Drink water- My goal is to drink a litre of water a day.
  • Read more– Set myself more free time for reading.
  • Practice knitting– Find some knitting projects and practice.
  • Exercise- Set myself an achievable workout plan.

Have you set any goals for 2021?

How things are at the moment, getting through the day seems like a goal achieved. Take every day as it comes is something I strongly live by.

December 30: New Year Look Back Tag!

Hi readers,

I think most people have had an unexpected year this year. I thought this blog post would be a final reflection of 2020, then a move on and a clean slate. Also, I want to pick up some postives so I don’t think this year was all bad.

What did you do in 2020 that you’ve never done before?

I travelled to France and stayed in Paris for my twenty-first birthday. Also, I visited Disneyland for the first time.

What was last year’s New Year Resolution, how did you do?

I can’t remember setting resolutions, but I know that I was desperate to pass my driving test. After my sixth attempt, I finally passed during lockdown August 2020.

What would you like to have accomplished in 2020 that you didn’t get to?

Getting through 2020 itself feels like an accomplishment to me. I believe all should focus on what we have accomplished this year, and how well we have dealt with the circumstances.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?

It’s a difficult one its either getting my driving licence or passing my first Open University module.

What was the best thing you bought?

It’s going to strange weird, but knitting supplies. This year I learnt to knit, and it has kept me occupied during this year.

Did you travel anywhere memorable?

Paris in January, it seems like a lifetime ago now. I feel grateful that I did have a holiday this year.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned last year.

I’ve learnt never take anything or anyone for granted. The everyday things I have missed during lockdown has been a real lesson of how I should always apricate them.

If you could look back on one memory this year you wish you could relive, what would it be?

The memory I would like to relieve is missing my boyfriend’s birthday due to restrictions.

If you could change anything about the year you had, what would it be?

I don’t like this sort of questions. As I would always say I would change something, but would I be the person I am? I believe everything that happens to you is a life lesson.

Share something you’re looking forward to this year.

The summer and hopefully watching the Coronavirus impact go down.

Thank you for reading.

December 23rd: Things you can do on Christmas Eve.

Hi readers,

Happy Christmas Eve Eve everyone! Here are some ideas for activities you can do tomorrow.

Bake- Bake some Christmas treats such as mince pies or cookies.

Watch a Christmas film– There are so many to chose from, have a relax on a sofa with a Christmas film.

Read– Read some Christmas themed books.

Sing and Listen to Christmas Music- The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.

Do some Christmas craft- Colour or create something Christmasy. Papercraft or knitting are my personal favourites.

Have a walk around the local area and see lights on houses- I love seeing the Christmas lights around the Local area.

Do something charitable– Reflect on those who are less fortunate than ourselves.

Wish everyone you know a Merry Christmas! This year, it’s so important to keep in touch with others.

Thank you for reading.

December 22nd: Questions about Crohn’s Disease.

Hi readers,

Sorry if it’s not a very Christmas one again.

Today I discovered a website https://www.ittakesguts.org.uk/ and a brilliant idea called In My Shoes. The concept is getting others to understand what it is like to cope with Crohn’s and Colitis. So in light of that, I thought I would answer a few of Googles most searched questions on Crohn’s disease, as best as possible.

How do you get Crohn’s- I think this one is for the medical experts. The possible cause is unknown. Many factors have been researched, such as genetics, diet and environment. No one is one hundred percent sure yet.

What does a Crohn’s attack feel like? It feels like a sharp stabbing pain in my stomach. Also, it makes me extremely fatigued. Trying not to get too graphic but I make many toilet stops if you get my gist.

Cure for Crohn’s disease– Unfortunately, there is no known cure for Crohn’s disease. However, some treatments and procedures can help with symptoms.

What do I have to avoid with Crohn’s disease? Alcohol, cigarettes and spicy food. I don’t smoke, but I do allow myself a wine occasionally and some spicy food.

Thank you for reading.
