Book review: The day she came back, Amanda Prowse.

Hi readers,

So this is my book review of the day she came back by Amanda Prowse. This book is available on Kindle unlimited.

Brief description of this book.

Victoria’s world is turned upside down when her Grandmother Prim dies. Then when a woman comes forward, claiming to be Victoria’s mother. Victoria finds this hard to believe. She has always been told her mother had died. How will she cope?

January 23rd: Happy 22nd birthday to me.

Hi readers,

So here’s the day I turn twenty-two. Crazy how last year I arranged a party and travelled. Things may be a lot quieter this year, but it doesn’t mean I’m going to be less positive to what the year brings.

Happy birthday to anyone also celebrating a lockdown birthday this month.

Thank you for reading.

December 30: New Year Look Back Tag!

Hi readers,

I think most people have had an unexpected year this year. I thought this blog post would be a final reflection of 2020, then a move on and a clean slate. Also, I want to pick up some postives so I don’t think this year was all bad.

What did you do in 2020 that you’ve never done before?

I travelled to France and stayed in Paris for my twenty-first birthday. Also, I visited Disneyland for the first time.

What was last year’s New Year Resolution, how did you do?

I can’t remember setting resolutions, but I know that I was desperate to pass my driving test. After my sixth attempt, I finally passed during lockdown August 2020.

What would you like to have accomplished in 2020 that you didn’t get to?

Getting through 2020 itself feels like an accomplishment to me. I believe all should focus on what we have accomplished this year, and how well we have dealt with the circumstances.

What was your biggest achievement of the year?

It’s a difficult one its either getting my driving licence or passing my first Open University module.

What was the best thing you bought?

It’s going to strange weird, but knitting supplies. This year I learnt to knit, and it has kept me occupied during this year.

Did you travel anywhere memorable?

Paris in January, it seems like a lifetime ago now. I feel grateful that I did have a holiday this year.

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned last year.

I’ve learnt never take anything or anyone for granted. The everyday things I have missed during lockdown has been a real lesson of how I should always apricate them.

If you could look back on one memory this year you wish you could relive, what would it be?

The memory I would like to relieve is missing my boyfriend’s birthday due to restrictions.

If you could change anything about the year you had, what would it be?

I don’t like this sort of questions. As I would always say I would change something, but would I be the person I am? I believe everything that happens to you is a life lesson.

Share something you’re looking forward to this year.

The summer and hopefully watching the Coronavirus impact go down.

Thank you for reading.

Take care Lauren x

27th December: A relaxing Christmas.

Hi readers,

All things considering my Christmas went pretty well. I spent the day with my family. Think I also eat a little too much food.

It seemed to be over within a flash. I can’t believe the countdown is officially over now. It seemed very weird not doing blogmas anymore. Now to look forward to hopefully a better new year.

Hope everyone had a safe and relaxing Christmas.

Wishing everyone the best.

November 14th: £55 million raised for Children in Need 2020

Hello readers!

Was delighted to find out that Children in Need managed, to raise a whopping £55 million last night.

It’s a record-breaker for the most money raised apparently. One positive from coronavirus, I think is its making people more charitable and grateful for what they have.

I’m sure the money will go to deserving causes. Every penny makes a difference when it comes to charity.

I assume Joe Wicks is taking a rest after his 24-hour session. He’s a money-raising machine! £1.5 million raised.

Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

November 9th: Back to studying maths.

Hi guys,

A fact about me is that I achieved a D in GCSE maths, never quite had that mathematical brain. So no I’ve decided I’m going to take a second chance when available.

I’ve decided to start early and brought a revision book. It’s weird looking at all the old familiar stuff from school years ago. My boyfriend has been trying to help me. Hopefully, I’ll be catching up soon. Second time lucky.

Thank you for reading.

Take care and stay safe.

November 1st: Optimistic Sunday’s, feeling Christmasy and the start of no spend November.

Hi readers!

There’s always something about the beginning of the month, that makes me feel optimistic and theirs a fresh slate. Trying to keep positive after the news, that the UK will be going into another lockdown for four weeks.

My family ordered a brand new Christmas tree this afternoon. It has aided me to get into the Christmas spirit early. It was from Argos at £18, I believe is a very reasonable price.

Also, another exciting thing is I’ve decided to partake in no spend November. I’m known to spend a little to much at Christmas every year. So this year I want to focus on what’s important, and it’s not materialistic items, I will keep updating on how I’m getting on.

Thank you for reading! Hope everyone has the best November possible considering the circumstances.

Stay safe everyone Lauren x
